The Opportunity

The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing evaluations and assessments for students in the school district. Every child deserves to reach their full potential and we’re looking to hire an exceptional clinician who will play an essential role in fueling student success.

Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do:

  • Offers consultation and collaboration with school staff and parents in support of student’s speech language goals.
  • Administers appropriate screening and/or diagnostic tests to determine child’s speech/language competency.
  • Interprets diagnostic tests, identifies strengths and weaknesses in areas of speech/language skills and generates reports providing feedback to school personnel and parents.
  • Serves as member of the school’s multidisciplinary team, if appropriate.
  • Is knowledgeable concerning all policies and procedures as established for these services by the Company's Program Manual, the funding source, and the individual school(s).
  • Completes required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.

Qualifications:

What We’re Looking For:

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Current MA DESE Specialist Teacher Certification in Speech/Language/Hearing Disorders and MA license in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Meet all state and federal guidelines in order to be fully licensed.
  • A passion for helping students achieve their communication goals and a belief that all children can learn.
  • Cannot be a current Boston Public Schools (BPS) employee.

PREFERRED:

  • Experience in a school setting.
