The client is an established financial services company in New York City.
Job Description- Conduct risk assessments and recommend strategies to mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities within the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain security controls throughout the organization.
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand their security needs and guide security-related decisions.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of security technologies and solutions to address organizational requirements.
- Oversee remediation activities, monitor security metrics, and stay updated on emerging threats and regulatory changes relevant to the financial services sector.

The Successful Applicant- Proven experience as a business information security officer or similar role in the financial services industry, with a deep understanding of relevant regulations such as SEC and FINRA.
- Strong analytical skills to assess complex security risks, translate technical details into business impact, and develop effective mitigation plans.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, effectively engaging and influencing senior business and technology leaders.
- Experience leading security initiatives and driving cross-functional collaboration to achieve secure outcomes, along with familiarity with key security technologies and controls.
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM) and a bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, demonstrating a commitment to ethical standards and secure innovation.
