Robert Half's publishing client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of our accounts payable function. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounts payable processes and proven experience with NetSuite.

Responsibilities:

• Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
• Manage vendor relationships, including communication regarding invoice discrepancies and payment status.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any outstanding issues.
• Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records in NetSuite.
• Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding accounts payable.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in accounts payable.
• Demonstrable experience with NetSuite is desired, not required.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and best practices.
• Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Associate's degree in accounting or a related field preferred.
