We are in the market for a Real Estate Development Paralegal. Situated in Baltimore, Maryland, this role is hybrid and will support an established and collaborative group of Attorneys. As a Paralegal, you will be involved in a wide range of responsibilities including reviewing title commitments and surveys, drafting various real estate and construction documents, and providing assistance in real estate transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive support in real estate, lending, construction, and leasing transactions.
  • Oversee the review of title commitments, surveys, and exception documents.
  • Draft title objection letters and track title and survey issues to resolution.
  • Prepare various real estate transaction documents including purchase agreements, leases, loan documents, and standard construction contracts.
  • Draft corporate, limited liability company, and partnership resolutions.
  • Maintain entity files and assist clients with compliance issues.
  • Analyze entity structure for compliance with Corporate Transparency Act.
  • Conduct legal due diligence including ordering and reviewing UCC, judgment and lien searches, zoning letters, and environmental reports.
  • Manage the closing process, including compilation of execution documents and communication with all parties to transactions.
  • Maintain spreadsheets to track status of transactions and/or pending agreements.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Paralegal
  • Proven experience in Commercial Real Estate
  • Proficiency in Real Estate - Title
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Real Estate - Leasing
  • Bachelor's degree in Law or relevant field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong research and report-generating skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in using legal database software
  • High degree of detail orientation, integrity, and confidentiality
