Sr. Accountant

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Woburn, Massachusetts. The chosen candidate will join our team to oversee various accounting operations, such as accounts receivable, billing, invoicing, and monthly end close support.
This role requires a strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and an ability to work independently with excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:- Manage and oversee accounts receivable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Handle all billing tasks, providing clear and detailed invoices to clients.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, financial modelling, and reporting.
- Conduct regular account reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Support the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Independently manage workload and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Utilize various software and systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for efficient account management.
- Ensure all financial records are maintained accurately and in compliance with company policies.
- Respond to and resolve any customer inquiries related to accounts and billing.
- Proactively monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. • Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role
- Proficient in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
- Must have a strong understanding of the General Ledger and Journal Entries
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary
- Experience with month-end close process
- Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP accounting software is required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred.
