NDT/Shipping Assistant
Position Summary:
Acuren is currently seeking a NDT/Shipping Assistant for our Cincinnati OH location.
NDT Assistants will assist in performing calibrations, Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment
- Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment
- Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
- Record results of inspections
- Assist performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations
- Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management
- Ensuring all materials, tools, and related equipment are inventoried and maintained according to standards
- Supporting management of inventory levels of materials, equipment and stock, making available those on high demand
- Safe movement of materials within the warehouse and machine shop
- Maintaining inventory rotation, disposing of and accounting for shop/warehouse materials
- Maintaining equipment database information
- Support the requisitions to restock material and equipment, obtaining approvals prior to any purchase
- Communicating with suppliers to ensure order deliveries and resolve issues with stock and deliveries
- Reconciling physical inventories with counts
- Receiving materials, supplies and equipment, accurately matching packing slips against purchase orders
- Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organized shop
- Responding to service and equipment requests
- Supporting management and scheduling of the flow of equipment/gear and supplies to and from project sites
- Receiving materials, equipment, conducting inspections, ensuring scheduled maintenance needs are conducted
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Some college preferred
- Technical background desired
- Must be able to have experience, credentials and history to be certified as Trustworthy & Reliable to comply with federal and state regulations, as determined by a thorough background check
- Motor Vehicle Driving record must meet company standards to drive company vehicles
