Staff Accountant

We are in the search for a dedicated Staff Accountant to be part of our team. The role is primarily based in BLUE ASH, Ohio, United States. As a Staff Accountant, you will be immersed in various accounting tasks across different entities. This role will provide you with an opportunity to interact with QuickBooks on a daily basis.

• Execute the month-end close process for various entities as part of the Accounting Team.
• Handle the preparation of journal entries, accruals, and monthly account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with operational leadership to ensure invoices are recorded and coded correctly and promptly.
• Work hand in hand with cross-functional stakeholders to establish and maintain an appropriate internal control environment.
• Undertake monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analysis, comparing actuals to prior periods and budget or forecast estimates.
• Liaise closely with external parties, including Tax Accountants and Regulatory Authorities, to ensure timely responses to requests.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiency.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses as required by the leadership team.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
• 4+ Years of progressive accounting experience
• Proficiency working in MS Excel and other MS Office tools
• High level of comfort working in QuickBooks
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Critical thinker with high level of professionalism and integrity
• Must pass all background checks required for role including drug screening
