Site Reliability Engineer - 62152

We have an immediate contract to hire opportunity for a Site Reliability Engineer to work remotely.

Pay Rate: $60-$65/hr

Must Haves:

• A minimum 5 years' experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Software Engineering
• Strong programming fundamentals and professional experience with object-oriented development using languages like C#, Java, Python, etc.
• Scripting expertise using Powershell and Shell/Bash.
• Professional background demonstrating expertise navigating distributed cloud environments using Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience managing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.
• Demonstrated history with incident response and working in a war room, with a willingness to work in a 24/7 365 on-call rotation with other team members.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Professional expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Past experience automating Ansible playbooks/scripts.

Additional details:

• Hybrid, once a month onsite.
• On-call 24/7 365 days a year. Handling all major incidents in the company (customers can't access the website or can't write policies, etc.).
• Daily rotation during the weekdays. On weekends, someone takes both days and this rotates week to week.
• 1 candidate interviewing in-person next week. Final round.
• Python, Powershell, C#, etc. automation skills to reduce business toil.
• Good documentation/technical writing skills.
• Post mortem incident review with stakeholders/other teams.
• AWS and Azure DevOps for CI/CD (not required, can know YAML/have Jenkins experience, etc.)
• Any major public cloud experience is fine (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Piloting Git for repository in the future.
• Object-oriented development skills. Ability to develop APIs is a plus. Needs to at least be able to make an API call.
• Dynatrace observability background is a huge plus. Some of these modules are written in python.
• Environment Windows and Linux, ECS, Lambdas, Terraform IaC, Powershell, and Azure DevOps.
