We are on the hunt for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team based in UNIONDALE, New York. In this role, you will be integral in maintaining accounting records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions.

• Prepare and maintain accounting documents for daily transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements and perform account analysis.
• Manage and maintain accounts payable and receivable records.
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with the broader accounting and finance team.
• Analyze transactions, identify, and correct discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing accruals by identifying the appropriate accrual basis.
• Create prepaid expense schedules and track the amortization of costs.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external financial and legal requirements.
• Continuously learn and train with regard to current accounting best practices, procedures, and principles. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Demonstrated experience in Bank Reconciliations
• Familiarity with General Ledger management
• Ability to create and manage Journal Entries
• Experience in Month End Close procedures
• Proficiency in NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of accounting principles and regulations
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
