Job Description
  • Project Leadership & Management:
  • Lead and manage on-site construction operations, including scheduling, quality control, safety, and compliance.
  • Oversee day-to-day construction activities, ensuring projects progress according to plan and meet deadlines.
  • Monitor and manage job site resources, ensuring optimal utilization of labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Implement and enforce Brechbill & Helman's safety policies and OSHA regulations on all job sites.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe work environment for all site personnel.
  • Ensure all workers comply with safety protocols and address any safety issues promptly.
  • Quality Control:
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, blueprints, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and walk-throughs to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
  • Address and resolve any issues or deficiencies in the construction process quickly and effectively.
  • Scheduling & Coordination:
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring work is completed on time.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Communicate progress updates regularly to the project manager and other key stakeholders.
  • Team Supervision & Communication:
  • Supervise and direct on-site personnel, including subcontractors, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met.
  • Foster a positive working relationship with the project team, clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for the project manager, providing updates on project status, challenges, and needs.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain daily logs and reports documenting site activity, weather conditions, and project progress.
  • Ensure that all necessary permits, inspections, and approvals are obtained in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of punch lists and final inspections.

The Successful Applicant
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in project management software, scheduling tools, and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and practices.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites.
