Job Description

The Solar & Storage - Regional Project Development Lead - Remote will:

  • Lead hands-on project lead and mentor to more junior developers.
  • Personally develop a pipeline of utility scale solar, energy storage and other renewable energy technologies in the Central market.
  • Lead a growing team of project developers.
  • Lead and manage interdisciplinary teams including land negotiations, real estate, engineering, permitting, legal and interconnection through construction commencement.
  • Support Central region M&A diligence and development efforts.
  • Lead project strategy throughout the entire development process to achieve project & corporate goals.
  • Ensure completion of any post-closing covenants or development activities performed by the project Seller.
  • Develop and manage project development schedules and budgets.
  • Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage contract obligations in key project documents.
  • Facilitate project discretionary permitting including permit strategy, tracking permit efforts, working with local AHJs, and presenting at permit hearings as needed.
  • Coordinate closely with the cross-functional teams across the company.

The Successful Applicant

The right candidate will have :

  • At 5+ years of utility-scale project development experience in renewable energy development - Ideally taking at least one project from early-mid stage development through to COD.
  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in renewable energy, finance, engineering, project/construction management or equivalent.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of renewable energy project development, utilities, interconnection, permitting, contracting.
  • Extensive knowledge of renewable energy and energy storage technologies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required including public speaking and/or platform skills for executive management presentations.

Far above market annual compensation plan.

Base salary depending on experience.

Annual bonus 20%-25%

Annual project milestone incentive program.
