Pharmacist - PHRMCST 24-17232 - Charlotte

Pay Rate: $65 to $71 Hourly

Role Highlights:

• Provide pharmaceutical care to patients in the Emergency Department, including medication management and consultation.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care and treatment regimens.
• Ensure safe and effective use of medications by monitoring drug interactions, dosages, and side effects.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of pharmacy terminology, policies, and procedures.
• Perform pharmacy procedures with considerable skill and attention to detail.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure quality care.
• Maintain current certifications including BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Participate in quality assurance measures to improve patient care and compliance with regulations.
• Provide patient education on prescribed medications and their proper usage.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacist in an emergency department (ED).
• NC pharmacy license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university (Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred).
• Active certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy terminology, procedures, policies, and quality measures.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.

Schedule & Additional Information:

• Hours Per Week: 40
• Days Per Week: 7 days on, 7 days off (with alternating weekends)
• Shift Time: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Schedule Notes:
• NIGHTS - 12HR shifts: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 7 days on, 7 days off rotation.

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
