Jr. Accountant

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Jr. Accountant in the Wholesale Distribution industry, located in Mt. Kisco, New York. As an Jr. Accountant, your main role will be to handle a variety of accounting tasks, including performing bank reconciliations, and applying GAAP principles.

Responsibilities:

• Use Accounting Software Systems to manage financial data and transactions.
• Perform and manage bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in daily tasks and responsibilities.
• Handle and manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
• Implement accrual accounting methods to maintain and present accurate financial statements.
• Conduct various accounting functions to support the financial operations of the company.
• Perform reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Use your accounting skills to resolve and prevent financial discrepancies.
• Monitor and handle customer credit applications with precision and efficiency.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer credit records.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
• Solid understanding and experience with Accounting Functions.
• Must have skills in performing financial Reconciliations.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
