We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Natural Bridge Station, Virginia. The role focuses on various aspects of accounting and finance in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to handle financial reporting, cost analysis, inventory management, payroll processing, and budgeting tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out accounting entries related to banking, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, production, and inventory on a regular basis.
- Prepare, analyze, and reconcile financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts related to manufacturing activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct cost analysis, including the calculation and analysis of product costs, overheads, and variances.
- Collaborate with inventory management to ensure accurate valuation and reporting of inventory levels.
- Regularly complete bi-weekly payroll in a precise and timely manner.
- Reconcile payroll information to the general ledger.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budgeted figures, identify variances, and provide explanations.
- Collaborate with operational teams to align financial goals with operational objectives.
- Actively seek opportunities for cost-saving and efficiency improvements within the manufacturing process. • Proven expertise in Account Reconciliation
- Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation
- Experience with Bank Reconciliations
- Solid knowledge of General Ledger management
- Familiarity with creating and managing Journal Entries
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Month End Close procedures
- Proficiency in using NetSuite software
- Experience with Oracle financial software
- Knowledge of SAP financial software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Professional certification such as CPA is preferred
- At least five years of experience in a similar role.
