School Nurse - General Education - NJSCHRN

• Pay: Total stipend of $115,000 annually

Qualifications:

1. Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid state-issued nursing license
2. CPR and First Aid certifications
3. Prior experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
4. Ability to work independently and manage student health needs

Performance Responsibilities:

• Provide healthcare services to students in a K-5 school setting, including first aid, medication administration, and health screenings.
• Manage student health records, ensuring all health data is accurately documented and maintained according to school district policies.
• Conduct routine health assessments, such as vision and hearing screenings, and monitor students for any health changes.
• Provide emotional support and guidance for students with chronic health conditions, ensuring their needs are met during school hours.
• Respond to medical emergencies, providing first aid or coordinating care with medical professionals if needed.
• Assist in educating staff and parents on health-related topics such as disease prevention and wellness programs.
