Maintenance Technician II
All About You:
We are searching for a Maintenance Mechanic II. This position will maintain, lubricate and repair production equipment according to specifications and operating instructions. All tasks must be performed while supporting the policies, procedures, goals and objectives of the plant engineering department and the Company.This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.
Requirements:
- Posess the ability to read and understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams as well as mechanical component drawings.
- Able to pass certification to operate forklift, trucks, and other power operated plant vehicles.
- Provide basic complements of tools necessary to repair machinery.
- Must be able to use and properly read the following test/measuring equipment: calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, levels, volts-ohm meters, and pressure gauges.
- Be familiar with and able to safely operate the following power tools: electric drill, saber saw, band saw, pedestal grinder, and belt sander.
- Must be familiar with and able to safely work with electricity voltages up to 240 VAC, air pressure up to 150 PSI, hydraulic pressure up to 2000 PSI, vacuums to 760 mm, compresses gas cylinders up to 5000 PSI.
- Possess the ability to write and key in data from production builds into the computer system and to check the downtime system for down time tickets.
- High school education or GED required. Industrial Maintenance degree or formal training is desired.
- Three to Five years working in the Manufacturing Mechanic II classification or equivalent required.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot equipment and repairs or replaces parts, such as: gears, cams, chain drives, etc. Will also adjust switches, install hoses, lubricate, tighten belts, and any other routine maintenance on production equipment. Performs any other mechanic problems as directed.
- Perform non-complex electrical repairs such as replacing switches, fuses, relays, and motors (working with voltages 24VDC up to 240 VAC). Ability to read INPUTS and OUTPUTS ON PLC.
- Maintain the Preventative Maintenance on machines.
- Assists Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanics B, or C in various required tasks and other unscheduled maintenance duties as required. Perform mechanical repairs with limited direction.
- Ensures products meet specification following equipment maintenance by using calipers, micrometers and other measuring devices, while working closely with the operators to ensure they can continue to perform their jobs after the repair.

- Must be able to be at work on time, follow company rules and procedures, follow directions from supervisor, interact in a positive and constructive manner with co-workers, work overtime and weekends as required.
