Financial Services Tax Coordinator Contract Hybrid

Our client has a consulting opportunity for a Financial Services Tax Project Coordinator to help support a tax department for a contract position with mandatory overtime.

Candidate will be in the office 3 to 4 days a week and have excellent Excel skills to include pivot tables and v-lookups. Any experience in financial services/taxes and pricing models or databases preferred.

Bachelor's degree required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Candidate must have excellent Excel (v look-ups, pivot tables).

Candidate will work with internal Tax Managers and Pricing Analyst

Must have good communication skills and be data driven/analytical

Will be helping to review and manage the pricing data that comes into the company through outside services.

Will be reviewing data daily on stock equite and fixed trades data.

Utilize in place controls to ensure accurate data.

Manual review of pricing tables and market checking and reconciliation

Manually verify all data was input correctly

Candidate will work on pricing review as well as support the tax operations team.

Will support tax compliance and year end reporting to include tax witholding, tax validation and remittance

Verification of tax documents

Candidate will be involved with year end tax reporting for 1099 and other tax statements.

Experience with W9/W8 forms and Due Diligence compliance.

Responsible for data gathering, taking data from multiple sources, formatting into standard template for upload into software.

Business related degree highly preferred

Ensure timely and accurate information/data is being generated and reported monthly

Maintain or produce new or more accurate financial workbooks/tax data throughout month

Skills

4 year degree or equivalent experience

In-depth knowledge of financial statements and financial workbook-building

Banking/Finance experience preferred

Ability to effectively interpret, select appropriate techniques, take independent action, communicate, and follow-through where broad guidelines are prescribed

Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal

Ability to manage competing priorities effectively, making good decisions based on business priorities and objectives

Practical knowledge of financial analysis techniques and methodologies, and financial software applications

The essential functions of this role include:

• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
• working weekends
