We currently have an opportunity for an Industrial Electrician with SPA Duties at our manufacturing plant located in South Boston, VA.

Pay: $38.00/Hour
Responsibilities:
As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for participating in an electrical capacity to assist the project team in the completion of capital and non-capital projects. Responsible for parts procurement, machine shop work orders, information gathering, and equipment modification.Our priority is to provide safe and efficient service to every customer with the goal of resolving the problem the first time.

- Perform all electrical functions associated with the planning and completion of capital and non-capital projects needed by process specialists, master electricians, engineering, and other location stakeholders.
- Understand plant electrical systems including but not limited to substations, breaker panels, power distribution.
- Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to service and repair new, modified, and existing equipment.
- Train and assist production as needed for set-ups, adjustments, and basic repairs on equipment SPA Area
- Key Objectives
- Regular training
- Reviews all new construction and equipment upgrades for compliance.
- Technical Guidance to the plant on daily basis
- Performs audits of electrical by plant personel and contractors Acts as technical reference for electrical incidents Completes regular inspections of facilities and equipment Manages Electrical PPE and Equipment Communicate with Technical Services department, EHS, and Leadership on electrical program and issues in the facility.
- Oversee activities involving the repair and maintenance of Electrical and Substation equipment.
- Provides input for performance evaluations of maintenance staff.
- Provide feedback and support to train new electrical personnel.
- Ensure employees and contractors are following PPE requirements for electrical work
- Maintains plant electrical single line drawings and main power distribution.
- Assists with plant shutdown planning around electrical work.
- Mentor Electrical personnel to strengthen their troubleshooting abilities.
- Assist in developing electrical troubleshooting guides.
- Determine and recommend most cost competitive options for assigned tasks.
- Performs/Assists with annual Thermal Scans.
- Discuss Status of action items and Current activities Review Candidate status for Electro certification Review any OSHA or NFPA policy changes Discuss any company-wide, electrical incidents for learning purposes Review mnimum of (1) electrical Safety PM per quarter

Requirements:
We need you to have:
- Electrical Journey level Certification/License
- Good communication skills both oral & written,
- Ability to carry out instructions when given verbally or in writing.
- Capacity to work independently, with others or in groups.
- The attitude to gather, review, and analyze information to identify and/or resolve problems.

- Prior mechanical and/or electrical experience
