We are offering an opportunity for a Network Engineer III to join our team located in Irvine, California. This role involves the design, implementation, and optimization of our enterprise network infrastructure, providing high-level support for complex network issues, and leading network security initiatives.
The successful candidate will also play a key role in strategic planning and project leadership, as well as mentorship and team development.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of the company’s WAN, LAN, and WLAN across all locations.
- Architect and implement SD-WAN (VeloCloud) solutions to enhance network performance and reliability.
- Serve as the highest level of support for complex network issues, providing expertise and guidance to the entire network team.
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced issues related to all aspects of the network infrastructure, including firewalls, routing, switching, and wireless systems.
- Lead the management of Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring the highest levels of network security and compliance.
- Develop and enforce security policies, conduct vulnerability assessments, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Drive strategic network initiatives, including infrastructure upgrades, expansions, and new technology deployments.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of complex network projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Mentor and guide entry level and mid-level engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering professional growth within the team.
- Develop training programs and share best practices to elevate the overall technical competency of the network team. • Possess at least seven years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
- Proficient in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, and Cisco Technologies.
- Demonstrable experience with AB Testing, Backup Technologies, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, and Datacenter.
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot network issues.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with different teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
- Proven ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices.
- Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Relevant professional certifications are an added advantage.
- Willingness to be on-call for responding to network emergencies outside of normal working hours.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with team members and clients effectively.
