Role Overview
We are looking for a mid-level mechanical engineer or industrial designer to join our team. This role will be primarily focused on injection molded components for our various product lines. Experience with indoor and outdoor rated products is desired but not required.The role will be wide ranging from product conception through the entire development process up to mass manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Design and Modeling - Create and refine injection molded component designs using Fusion 360, turning technical concepts into precise 3D models with quick, iterative prototyping.
Technical Analysis - Run advanced finite element analysis to optimize material selection, predict component performance, and generate insights that drive product innovation.
Cross-Team Collaboration - Bridge mechanical, electrical, and test engineering teams, solving complex design challenges and ensuring seamless integration of hardware solutions.
Quality and Improvement - Develop and implement rigorous quality checks, continuously optimizing designs and maintaining detailed documentation in PLM systems.
Innovation and Growth - Stay ahead of industry trends, contribute to product roadmaps, and continuously expand technical skills through targeted research and learning.

- BS Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design
- 3-5 years professional experience range
- 4-6 years experience working with Fusion 360 or SolidWorks (Fusion preferred)
- FEA experience with a focus on injection molding simulation
- Manufacturing experience both in house and with contract manufacturing
- Exposure to PLM & PDM systems
- Understanding of GD&T
- 3-5 years injection molding experience with a variety of plastic types
- Ability to use hand / shop tools
- Consumer Product Design experience, surface modeling is a plus
- CNC machining experience
- Experience launching commercial products
- Familiarity with rapid prototyping like 3D printing, quick turn sample verification
- Sheet metal design experience
