Function:

Under direct supervision, performs routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes. Requires use of a few simple hand tools and semi-automatic manufacturing equipment including welding, cutting, and measurement operations. Ensure work is accomplished with high quality workmanship standards and safety in a timely fashion and is compliant with all company, city, state and federal regulations.

What You Will Do:

  • Set up, assemble, load parts, and troubleshoot basic issues with stations/machines; ensure proper use of simple tools and perform basic machine troubleshooting.
  • Read and follow work procedures, routing instructions, and ensure product quality by identifying and escalating part defects.
  • Build conforming parts while meeting output targets, adhering to quality system elements relevant to the product.
  • Participate in cost reduction, continuous improvement efforts, and audits; maintain positive communication and teamwork.
  • Manage inventory levels, maintain a clean and organized work area, rotate through workstations as needed, and report progress and quality concerns.
  • Acquire necessary skills/certifications, meet all job responsibilities, and assist in achieving departmental goals, including tasks beyond the job description.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • High school diploma or GED with one year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is required.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.6

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Prior manufacturing experience
  • Experience with interpreting schematics and/or technical drawings.
  • Experience reading and/or interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Intermediate computer skills in terms of typing, navigating screens and learning new software programs.
