Staff Accountant

Robert Half is looking for a Staff Accountant for a Franklin, Wisconsin area organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of customer credit applications with precision and efficiency
• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) duties
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
• Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis
• Prepare and record journal entries as part of the financial tracking process
• Carry out month-end close procedures to keep financial records up-to-date and accurate
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when needed
• Maintain accurate customer credit records and ensure they are updated regularly
• Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations
• Ability to manage and maintain the General Ledger
• Proficient in creating and managing Journal Entries
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Knowledge of accounting principles and standards
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
