Nurse Manager (Adult Medicine)
This role reports to the Director of Nursing for the El Nuevo San Juan Health Center and works in closed collaboration with the Director of Adult Medicine and other key staff.Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required + 2-5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.-NYS Registered Professional Nurse, required.
- Previous work background provider care to elderly.
-Knowledge/training in electronic health records and Microsoft Office.Key Duties:-Orders and maintains stock of medications, medical supplies, and patient care equipment and/or supplies for assignment department.-Participates in quality assurance practices and meetings.-Ensures that nursing practices and procedures are compliant and that nursing and ancillary staff practice within their individual scopes of practice.-Conducts check-ins and meetings with nurses, medical assistants, and as part of the greater interdisciplinary team.-Maintains all duties are responsibilities of a Registered Nurse at Urban Health Plan including triage, immunizations, health education, sterilization, medication management.
- In the absence of a floor nurse in the department, will maintain primary duties of floor nurse.
-Assist and support in all human resources functions for nursing and ancillary service including interviewing, selections, and performance management.-Ensures that staffing levels and coverage are adequate to meet patient care and regulatory requirements.-Assists with development and implementation of training programs.Starting Compensation: Minimum $120,000/annum; Maximum $124,000/annumWork Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:Onsite, Bronx, , NY, Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00 pm.
Rotating Saturday 8:00am-5:00pm shifts with a day off during the week.
