Staff Accountant

You will also be responsible for preparing data for reporting based on firm standards and assisting with other accounting-related tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing and reconciling balance sheet and income statement general ledger accounts in Microsoft Excel
• Recording and reviewing journal entries
• Assisting in the preparation of raw transaction data for clear and concise reporting as per firm standards
• Carrying out bank reconciliations
• Reviewing all general ledger transactions and writing brief descriptions for transaction grouping and analysis
• Performing account analysis including variance analysis and actual versus budget analysis
• Rectifying errors by performing reclassifications of general ledger transactions
• Taking part in month-end close processes
• Utilizing accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP for various tasks
• Handling both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar
• Experience in the legal industry is preferred
• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with bank reconciliations
• Demonstrated ability to manage General Ledger
• Skilled in preparing and posting Journal Entries
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Proficiency in NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
