As a Healthcare Regulatory Licensing Associate, you will assist in managing hospice licensures, work with Medicare and State Departments of Health, handle renewals and applications, and help ensure compliance with both state and federal programs.
You’ll work closely with the Legal and Regulatory Affairs Manager, as well as the Compliance Department, in supporting the regulatory and legal needs of the organization. This role offers growth potential and the chance to make a direct impact on our operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Hospice Facility Licensure Management: Under the direction of the Legal and Regulatory Affairs Manager, assist in compiling and verifying documentation for new facility applications, licensure changes, and renewals for hospice operations in multiple states.
  • De Novo Team Support: Provide regulatory research assistance and review licensing requirements for new operations, supporting the De Novo team’s efforts.
  • Integration Assistance: Help integrate newly acquired hospices into the regulatory framework, ensuring they comply with applicable standards and procedures.
  • Liaison with Agencies: Communicate with state and federal agencies (e.g. state health departments, Meidcare, Medicaid) to respond to information requests, track licensing status, and obtain requirements for filings, maintaining smooth information flow.
  • Provider Enrollment Support: Assist in maintaining Medicare and Medicaid provider enrollment and revalidation processes, ensuring ongoing compliance.
  • Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with the Compliance and Legal teams to support regulatory compliance for Care Hospice operations, including state-level reporting and accreditation activities.
  • Administrative Coordination: Provide administrative support for site stakeholders’ informational needs, collaborating with Credentialing and Payer Relations teams to maintain accurate records.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or significant relevant work experience required.
  • 1-3 years of healthcare regulatory experience related to facility licensing or agency licensing, preferably in a healthcare or hospice setting. Experience with Medicare/Medicaid enrollment and state-level licensing is highly preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, and related software knowledge.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to interpret and apply healthcare regulations, state and federal guidelines, and company policies.
  • Excellent organizational skills for documenting licensure activities and tracking correspondence
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment while working independently
  • Comfortable communicating with internal and external stakeholders, especially state and federal agencies, via phone and email.
$70,000 - $80,000 per year (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general guideline for the role and is not a guarantee of the final offer. Compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s relevant experience and the specific responsibilities of the position.

Final compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
