The Global Amazon Expense Management Team is seeking an innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Program Manager that can deliver results in a variety of projects across our enterprise-wide expense management framework (Concur). This position is responsible for facilitating the successful deployment of each initiative through collaboration with both our internal and external partners, as well as ensuring that we enhance and improve our existing processes and procedures through automation when possible.

  • Define and develop the project plan, deployment approach, and stakeholder engagement model for a large scale system improvements, implementation, and transition.
  • Define key performance indicators – develop operational and business metrics and service level agreements for programs and processes, and track delivery against global objectives.
  • Consolidate inputs, and challenge assumptions, on performance drivers and forecasts from stakeholders
  • Solve critical customer, process and system escalations effectively to ensure root cause analysis and effective problem resolution.
  • Identify opportunities that will provide ways to scale controllership and employee experience while leveraging technology.
  • Oversee, develop and execute testing plans to ensure solutions meet business needs
  • Drive innovation and break through improvements in team’s processes and practices.
  • Partner with other Amazon teams impacted by your initiatives, while liaising and collaborating with external partners, to align timelines and expectations.
  • Create and manage the communication strategy for promoting and highlighting your strategy, priorities, and the status of your projects/program.
  • Provide ongoing inquiry and configuration support to end users

A day in the life

Your primary focus within Expense Management team will be to partner with internal stakeholders (Technical teams, Expense Risk Audit, Tax, Payroll, Travel, etc.) as well as our external partners (Concur) to gather requirements, assess existing system functionality vs.
future state, and proactively identify gaps, and drive solutions relative to expense reimbursement management. The ability to work cross functionally and to identify barriers is imperative to the success of these projects, and being able to dive deep and develop subject matter expertise of our core system functionality and upstream systems amidst ambiguity will be critical to accomplishing this.
Further, you will continue to drive continuous improvement through roadmap planning and post deployment assessment of projects.- 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • 5+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience
  • 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience defining and executing program requirements- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
  • 6+ years of managing stakeholders in cross-functional project experience
  • 6+ years of leading large complex programs experience
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
  • Concur or similar expense management platform administration
