What You'll Do:
As a Regional Manager of Maintenance and Housekeeping, our care centers will rely on your expertise regarding all aspects of building and grounds maintenance, esthetics, and cleanliness. You will be a resource, consultant, educator, inspector, and leader to ensure the physical plant remains in regulatory compliance and provides a safe, clean, and comfortable healing environment for residents, families, and staff.
The scope of this role will include care centers on Long Island, Upstate NY, and Vermont and is best suited for candidates in the Capital, Catskill, and Hudson Valley regions of NY.
*Included in the perks of this role are a company car as there will be required travel*
Key Responsibilities:
- Ultimate responsibility for all aspects of maintenance, repair, and improvements to the physical plants across an assigned region
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the ongoing operation of critical infrastructure
- Educate care center teams and ensure all applicable safety, sanitary, and health codes are applied in plumbing, electrical, and building systems
- Ensure applicable fire safety codes including NFPA 101 for healthcare facilities are followed
- Conduct periodic rounds to ensure engineering and housekeeping policies and procedures are being followed
- Participate in the hiring, training, and performance management of housekeeping, maintenance, laundry, grounds, and other facilities staff
- Assist in managing capital improvement projects, renovations, and facility upgrades to ensure buildings, building systems, and properties remain functional over their expected lifespan
- Collaborate with care center staff to address resident needs
- Ensure compliance with the company's preventative maintenance programs
- Conduct mock surveys with the regional team to prepare for the DOH

Rate of Pay: Up to USD $110,000.00/Yr.

What You'll Bring:
Qualifications of a Regional Manager of Engineering & Physical Plant include:
- 7+ years experience in a long-term care physical plant
- 3+ years experience in institutional housekeeping and laundry services
- 5+ years of supervisor experience
- Thorough knowledge of safety, sanitary, health and fire codes applicable to long-term care facilities
- Experience in costing, planning and executing capital improvement projects
- Ability to lead a decentralized team and influence stakeholders to maintain a safe, functional and clean physical plant
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
