We are offering a contract opportunity for a Business/Data Analyst in New York, NY 10013. As part of our team, the selected individual will be instrumental in analyzing data, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting financial decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct basic data and financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Utilize Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data.
- Prepare and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Support ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Data Science.
- Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis tools such as PowerQuery and VBA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail, motivation, and exceptional work ethic.
Additionally, experience with programming languages such as Python or R, familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), understanding of database architecture concepts and previous experience in a finance or data analysis role is preferred.
Experience in media and a background in technology will be an advantage.
