Requirements:

The Commercial Portfolio Specialist will manage and support the credit union's commercial loan portfolio. This role ensures the ongoing performance and risk management of commercial accounts and provides analytical and administrative support to the commercial lending team.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong financial analysis skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our business members.

Applicants must possess one to three years of commercial Credit Analysis or Commercial Underwriting experience. Understanding of financial analysis and determination of creditworthiness. The candidate should have a clear understanding of general accounting principles as well as general knowledge of business finance and economics.

  • Monitor and manage the credit union's commercial loan portfolio to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Conduct periodic reviews of commercial loan accounts to assess financial health and risk exposure.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, cash flow statements, and other relevant documents from business members. Identify and report potential risks or issues within the portfolio to the Commercial Lending Manager and VP of Lending
  • Support the commercial lending team with loan documentation, renewals, modifications, and servicing activities. Maintain up-to-date records and documentation for all commercial loan accounts.
  • Provide excellent customer service to business members, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Exercise independent judgment in assessing the creditworthiness of commercial loan applicants and making recommendations for loan approvals, renewals, and modifications.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risk within the commercial loan portfolio. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members regarding best practices in portfolio management and risk assessment.
