Overview:

Element has an opportunity for a IT Business Partner to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to develop your professional career within a Global TIC business.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for strategic technology delivery for an Element Business Unit (BU)
  • Partner with BU leadership on technology roadmap development and assist BU VP’s on alignment of technology with BU strategies
  • Coordinate technology needs with technical resources from across the broader DTG (IT) organization
  • Partner closely with BU PMO resources and BU leaders in the development and intake of technology projects/programs including:
  • Project business case development
  • Project definition including translating the central business requirements for technical colleagues
  • Capturing high level cost (i.e., partner with technical resources to provide rough costing estimates)
  • Project prioritization (i.e., the accurate assignment of prioritization during project intake)
  • Alignment of technology project intake with BU strategic objectives
  • DTG (IT) BU point of contact for all items seeking Investment Committee (IC) submission and approval to ensure technical requirements are considered and documented during project intake prior to IC approval
  • Partnership with BU includes ensuring awareness of technology capabilities currently deployed across the enterprise and the general effectiveness (i.e., bi-directional sharing of Element best practices) to contribute to our growing set of technology capabilities
  • DTG Business Partners are the strategic face and voice of technology for their partner Business Unit
  • Position reports to DTG Regional Director role who sits on the regional SLT
  • Dotted line reporting to the BU VP

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Minimum experience 5 years, IT Business Partnership, IT portfolio management, IT Project Management, or similar roles
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
  • Masters degree preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to collaborate directly with business and technical leaders
  • Ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical partners
  • Relationship builder who can cultivate a deep and productive internal network spanning business and technical roles
  • Working knowledge of technology is required, however this is not a technical role. The incumbent will partner with technical subject matter experts but will not perform technical tasks
  • Willingness to travel to remote sites as required
  • Flexibility in working hours (overtime and out of hours work may be required from time to time)
