Controller

Our client, a midsized construction firm, has an immediate need for a controller. The controller will report directly to the CFO and will be primarily responsible for overseeing all finance and accounting functions.

Duties include:

• Overseeing all accounting staff.
• Managing the budget process, including forecasting and monitoring variances
• Producing timely financial statements, monthly and annually.
• Maintaining and improving accounting policies and procedures.
• Cash flow analysis.
• Developing and monitoring financial performance metrics.
• Reviewing staff's work, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Identifying and managing financial risks.
• Identifying trends, efficiencies, and areas for cost reduction.
• Coordinating the annual audit process with external auditors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Candidates for the controller position should have a minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience. A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
