Job Description- Wireless Network Design and Deployment:
- Plan, implement, and optimize wireless networks to meet organizational needs.
- Manage enterprise-level wireless access points, controllers, and related infrastructure.
- Firewall Administration:
- Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco ASA).
- Implement and manage access control lists (ACLs) and other security policies.
- Monitor firewall logs for potential threats and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Operations and Maintenance:
- Monitor and troubleshoot wireless network and firewall performance to ensure uptime and reliability.
- Conduct regular firmware updates and ensure all network hardware adheres to security protocols.
- Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and incidents.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application performance requirements.
- Work closely with vendors and service providers for network upgrades and troubleshooting.
- Cloud Networking (Preferred):
- Assist in the integration and support of AWS networking components (VPCs, Direct Connect, etc.) where applicable.
- Provide recommendations for hybrid connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments.

The Successful Applicant- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in wireless networking technologies (e.g., Wi-Fi 6, Cisco, Aruba, or Juniper wireless solutions).
- Strong understanding of RF fundamentals, wireless design, and spectrum analysis.
- Hands-on experience with firewall configuration, troubleshooting, and policy management.
- Experience with network security protocols, such as WPA3, 802.1X, and RADIUS.
- Professional Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a Network Engineer role, with a focus on wireless systems and firewalls.
- Familiarity with enterprise-level network architecture and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, Ekahau, NetSpot).
- Certifications:
- Relevant certifications such as CWNA, CWNP, CCNA Wireless, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Firewall-related certifications (e.g., Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE, Fortinet NSE) are a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud networking (e.g., VPCs, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway).
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments and their impact on network design and performance.
