Staff Accountant

education: Bachelors

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring accurate and timely data.
• Process invoices promptly and post journal entries with accuracy.
• Maintain the general ledger, including posting of cash receipts, billings, and other key transactions.
• Reconcile critical general ledger accounts, such as work in progress (WIP), inter-company receivables/payables, property and equipment, and capital accounts.
• Perform regular bank and investment reconciliations for assigned accounts.
• Prepare and generate monthly financial statements for review by senior management and external CPA firms.
• Oversee real estate tax schedules and ensure timely payment of all tax bills.
• Compile and submit monthly reports for public partners, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Provide support on special projects as directed by the Director of Accounting and VP of Finance.
• Ensure all financial files and documentation are thoroughly maintained and compliant with company policies and procedures.
