We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented AP Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. You will play a key role in managing financial processes including accounts payable, purchasing, and general accounting. Duties and Responsibilities - Essential Functions
Accounts Payable and Purchasing:
- Process, record, and reconcile vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate accounts payable records.
- Prepare and process payments (e.g., checks, ACH transfers, credit card transactions) according to company procedures.
- Maintain purchase order and contract records for accounting and auditing purposes. • Monitor purchasing activities to ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
General Accounting:
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in preparing financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual), and support budget preparation and forecasting activities.
- Assist with payroll processing administration, ensuring accuracy in reporting and compliance with company policies. • Safeguard confidentiality of financial data and sensitive information.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- A minimum of 3 years of AP experience
- Knowledge of purchasing and general accounting functions, with experience in month-end and year-end closing processes a plus
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Sage, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle) and financial management software (e.g., Bill.com).
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies and ensure financial accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
- Proven experience successfully taking on new tasks, driven to learn and an interest in career progression beyond accounts payable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- Full-time position with a hybrid work arrangement: On-site 3 days per week at our Redwood City, CA office, with the option to work remotely on other days.
- Occasional extended work hours may be required during quarter-end and year-end closing periods.

We have a comprehensive total compensation package including fully paid medical, dental and vision benefits for you and your family. The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 annually. We consider various factors when determining the base compensation, including market survey data, experience, qualifications, and geographic location, which means that the actual compensation may vary.
