Plant Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

Key deliverables for the position include the following:

• Responsible for the maintenance of all plant and lab resources, site utilities and grounds under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Ability to read a P&ID and identify the corresponding equipment.
• Duties to include piping installations and repairs for process and compressed air systems with various piping materials, PVC, stainless steel, ABS, polypropylene, etc.
• Install, modify, run & maintain new and existing plant process equipment and systems
• Ability to maintain, trouble shoot, diagnose and repair manufacturing equipment including pumps, agitators, boilers, chillers, piping, scales, reverse osmosis (RO) units, production machinery, etc...
• Repair of facilities, recognizing abnormal operating situations and potential safety hazards.
• Operate and maintain maintenance equipment such as power tools, welders, motors, etc.
• Maintain documentation on repairs and record parts and material used and submit ordered to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Perform installation for small size plant capital projects.
• Perform equipment inspections and recommend repairs or future replacement to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Operate industrial forklifts and other motorized equipment as required
• Ability to perform minor welding.

• Comply with all plant-level regulatory (safety, environmental, GMP) requirements such as lockout tag-out, electrical safety, confined space entry, hot work, etc.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Ensure safe work practices and always promotes positive safety behaviors through use of proper personal protective equipment, use of appropriate safety tools, and follow equipment procedures to ensure safe use.
