Description:
This is a 2-year clinical research fellowship working with the Division of Pediatric Surgery at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (part of the Emory University Department of Surgery). The opportunity involves participation in a variety of clinical projects related to pediatric surgical outcomes, quality improvement, health equity, and trauma.The successful applicant will participate in study conception and design, Institutional Review Board approval, data collection and management and presentation of findings.
Desired qualifications: Completion of medical degree as this is a postgraduate research position is required and 3 years of post-graduate training at an ACGME accredited general surgery residency in the United States is preferred. The successful candidate will have good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects at the same time.They will work well with multiple team members of different disciplines.
Start date: July 1 2025. It is ideal for an individual interested in future clinical outcomes research and healthcare disparities research, and an academic surgical career in pediatric surgery. The position includes taking senior level in-house pediatric surgery clinical call.A salary commensurate to the PGY level including benefits is included.
