Our Program, Project, Construction Managers, Engineers, and Utility Support Personnel provide oversight, work activity coordination, and technical support to deliver utility projects in Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC.We are a regional partner and employer, providing growth opportunities for talented utility workers while also providing construction project leadership for our clients.Summary: The senior Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and integrating activities across multiple functional lines.
Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while making sure the engineering, procurement, and construction milestones of a project are met.Primary Responsibilities:Manage finances, cost engineering, scheduling, environmental considerations, regulatory agency requirements, labor problems, public and client relations, employee relations, and changing lawsInterface with external and internal stakeholders to coordinate project requirementsProvide project status updates to the Program Manager and the customers manager of project managementIdentify and obtain project team resourcesResponsible and accountable for overall project performance including, scope, quality, schedule, and innovation for the most complex and high-risk projectsServe as the primary communicator with the sponsor and key stakeholders on project issuesReview contractors invoices for accuracy and completenessLead regularly scheduled, detailed project presentationsEnsure a good working relationship between the project manager, line managers, and those employees assigned to the projectEnsure project costs are managed, including the development of a recovery plan to stay within budget limitsEnsure project team members understand their respective responsibilitiesCoach and lead team members to ensure that they can complete task plans, spending plans, and communication plansQualifications:Education:Must possess a bachelors degree from an accredited universityExperience:Minimum of 10 years experience in transmission and substation electric utilities construction project managementMust have PMP certification or be willing to sit for an exam soon after employmentMust have experience with switchgear projectsExperience with metering preferredMust be able to coordinate work scope with multiple work groups or contractorsProficient user of Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of OSHA safety policiesKnowledge of project management concepts and principlesExperience administering large dollar projects is requiredPrevious supervisory experience is requiredSoft Skills:Must possess good written and oral communications skills and have proven analytical experienceHighly organized and detail-orientedAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentSuperior time management skills; must be able to meet strict deadlinesAbility to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problemsAbility to work independently and as a member of various teamsAbility to interact with all levels of management and staffAble to demonstrate business acumen and communicate effectively across multiple levels, both internally and externallyPhysical Requirements:Must have a valid drivers license and a driving record that meets LCS RequirementsEmployees must complete a background investigation and successfully complete drug screeningsOnly qualified candidates will be consideredLCS is an Equal Opportunity Employer
