Medical Receptionist

A client of ours in the Medical industry is looking to hire a front desk receptionist! In this role you will be responsible for checking in/out patients at the front desk. Greeting incoming visitors, scheduling patients for future appointments, routing incoming calls to the correct person/department etc.
Responsibilities- Checking in and checking out patients
- Answering phones
- Scheduling appointments for audiology and speech pathology
- Registering patients in the system
- Verifying insurance information
- Contacting patients to confirm appointments
- Entering referrals into the system
- Creating charts and files for future appointments
- Taking payments, co-pay, deductibles, and due balances
- Sending out referrals that come to us - making sure they have the referral in place and calling the patients to schedule the appointments
- 2+ years of medical reception experience
- Knowledgeable in medical terminology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
