Position Details:

What you do in this role:

• Accurately and timely billing and rebilling of institutional claims
• Contact third party payers in timely manner to determine claim status for institutional claims
• Ensure accurate capturing and posting of financial activity and maintain accounts receivable at amounts appropriate for payer and acuity mix
• Communicate with facility as needed to ensure open communication
• Review and work remittance advices daily. All remittances for the current month are to be worked before the next month begins. Ensure all remittance advices are worked for all facilities for which they are the lead. If one of their facilities is lagging, they will report to the supervisor so we ensure an ongoing problem does not ensue

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience working with insurance companies preferred. Prior experience with accounts receivable in healthcare setting
• May be required to work flexible hours and overtime
