Job Description
The role involves providing technical assistance and business analysis to develop an accounting engine and subledger solution, collaborating on accounting treatments for various financial products. Responsibilities include troubleshooting system issues, authoring business requirements, designing reports for P&L and balance sheet analysis, and identifying areas for process improvement to enhance business efficiency.

The Successful Applicant
A successful candidate for this role would have strong expertise in accounting and finance, with a deep understanding of accounting treatments for financial products like fixed income, equity, and derivatives. They should be highly skilled in technical business analysis, able to collaborate effectively with both business stakeholders and IT teams to design solutions, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure system integrations run smoothly.Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess excellent data analysis skills to provide insightful reports and identify process improvements, along with a proven ability to document business processes and technical specifications. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to improving business efficiency are key traits for success.
What's on Offer
An immediate start date, 6 month contract with the potential for a long term extension. A 3-4 in office day schedule per week at a major financial firm in Midtown Manhattan by Rockefeller Center.
