Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our dynamic team at E-Therapy. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing speech and language therapy services to students in PreK-12 schools, helping them develop communication skills and overcome speech and language disorders.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • SLPAs provide direct therapy services and assist speech-language pathologists (SLPs) with assessment and treatment. They may also implement care plans and treatment protocols
  • Screening: SLPAs may administer and score screenings
  • Training: SLPAs may provide training and technical assistance to clients, students, and patients
  • Communication devices: SLPAs may program and monitor augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
  • Advocacy: SLPAs may advocate for individuals and families to promote access to communication
  • Materials: SLPAs may prepare therapy and instructional materials.
  • Records: SLPAs may maintain student records
  • Documentation: SLPAs document client progress and performance.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • - Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience providing speech-language therapy services in a school or pediatric setting.
  • Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques commonly used in pediatric speech-language pathology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Experience in teletherapy or online counseling (preferred).
  • Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and other assistive technology used in speech-language therapy (preferred).
