Medical Assistant - MA24-16690

Location: Saint Paul, MN 55102

Responsibilities:

• Assist in rooming patients, taking vitals, updating medical histories, and preparing patients for pulmonary testing or consultations.
• Support physicians and clinicians with pulmonary function tests, sleep studies, and other specialized assessments.
• Ensure patient charts are prepared accurately and are up-to-date before appointments. Document patient information and test results in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Answer in-basket messages and phone calls, address patient inquiries, and assist with scheduling follow-up appointments.
• Assist with other clinical procedures as needed, including obtaining specimens, administering vaccinations, and managing patient care under the guidance of medical providers.
• Work closely with other clinical and administrative staff to provide efficient and effective patient care.

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, with preference for those with clinic experience.

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

Licenses:

• Medical Assistant licenses are accepted.
