Responsibilities- Estimate Preparation: Develop accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on project scope and specifications.
- Bid Management: Prepare and submit bids in a timely manner, ensuring they are competitive and comprehensive.
- Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination: Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing with vendors.
- Cost Tracking & Updates: Maintain current data on material and labor costs, adjusting estimates as needed.
- Proposal Development: Assist in creating proposal documents, including the scope of work and budget breakdowns.
- Site Visits & Assessments: Conduct site visits to assess conditions that could impact costs.
- Client Relations: Liaise with clients to clarify project requirements, address concerns, and ensure alignment with expectations.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies within the estimate.
- Collaboration with Project Teams: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure accuracy in cost estimates.
- Budget Analysis: Review past project performance and apply lessons learned to future estimates.
- Document Review: Analyze contracts, specifications, and plans to ensure that all necessary information is included in the estimate.
