Job Details:
- Care for student health, injuries, and/or illnesses in an expedient manner
- Provide direct nursing care to students with acute and chronic health conditions, including administering medications, treatments, and first aid as necessary.
- Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify health concerns and develop appropriate care plans.
- Participate in planning and implementation of 504 plans, special education evaluations, and Individual Education Programs (IEPs).
Requirements:
- Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state required.
- Certification as a Licensed School Nurse (LSN) or willingness to obtain prior to the start of the school year required.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required.
- Experience working as a school nurse or in pediatric nursing preferred.
- Must be certified in CPR and First Aid.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
