We are seeking dedicated individuals to join us as full-time, on-site team members at our new, state-of-the-art factory located in the thriving city of DeSoto, Kansas.

Essential Duties:
  • Lead by “Safety First” mindset, using principles such as ‘Customer First and Respect for Team Members’ along with learning & implementing the core foundation of the PENA Way System in day-to-day operations.
  • Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with managers.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and develop comprehensive training plans to address skill gaps.
  • Design and develop engaging training materials, including instructor-led sessions, and job aids, to meet the learning objectives.
  • Conduct training needs assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, metrics, and performance outcomes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in training and development to continuously improve training offerings.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and other learning events, ensuring a positive and impactful learning experience for participants.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external training providers and educational institutions for additional resources and expertise.
  • Collaborate with HR to integrate training programs into the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Works closely with all production departments within the organization.
  • Participates in continuous quality improvement programs by providing team leadership and technical support.
  • Ensure that company resources are utilized to sustain safe manufacturing and distribution excellence
  • Manage functional teams to meet manufacturing KPI’s
  • Manage continuous improvement in production efficiency, implementing Lean principles
  • Coordinate and interact with internal cross-functional teams to fulfill customer and company goals
  • Attend Management meetings and provide detailed input on status of goals
  • Other duties as assigned
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
  • To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees’, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred

Education:
  • Basic/Required: Bachelor’s degree in training and development, human resources, education. Relevant work experience may substitute for required education.
Essential Qualifications:
  • 4 - 8 years of experience in leading teams in a high-performance setting or equivalent, translatable experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex operation issues
  • Ability to develop Standardized Work
  • Ability to develop a Job Break Down sheets from your Standardized Work Sheet and the ability to teach and train others in this method
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Works effectively in cross-functional teams and with other work groups, shares information that others need to do their job.
