Assistant Controller

This role is open to the possibility of remote work, depending on the candidate's experience with specific software.

• Oversee a team of accounting specialists and manage their performance
• Utilize QuickBooks and McLeod software for various accounting tasks
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and ledger account analysis
• Manage accounts receivable and payable, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed
• Handle general ledger system and ensure its accuracy and efficiency
• Utilize ADP - Financial Services for relevant tasks
• Perform auditing tasks to ensure financial compliance
• Process billing functions accurately and efficiently
• Leverage your experience in the logistics industry to manage accounting functions effectively
• Perform other related duties as required. • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within the transport industry
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is beneficial
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Demonstrated experience in Auditing
• Familiarity with Billing Functions
• Proficiency in Quickbooks Online and QuickBooks
• Experience in managing General Ledger and General Ledger Systems
• Proficient in Ledger Account Analysis
• Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Proficient in Bank Account Reconciliation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
