Human Resources Manager
We have an opening for a Human Resources Manager (HR Manager) based in our Chatsworth, California manufacturing facility.
As the Plant HR Manager, you will support our manufacturing operation in Chatsworth, California. You will build strategic organizational capability across the business and collaborate with plant business leaders and HR COEs to support and lead site labor & employee relations, recruitment, talent management, culture, and the facilitation of various HR programs.You will have two direct reports: 1 HR Generalist and 1 HR Coordinator. You will report into a Sr. HR Director with a strong dotted line to the Plant Director and will function as the point-of-contact for all plant associates and leaders. Our Chatsworth plant is a union facility comprised of approximately 200 team members and five production lines manufacturing plant-based products under the Follow Your Heart brand.
- You have a bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field, required. A master’s degree and/or SPHR/SHRM-SCP certifications are preferred.
- You have a minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible HR experience supporting diverse client groups, and at least 5 years within a manufacturing / industrial / supply chain environment, required.
- You have prior Labor relations experience within a manufacturing / industrial / supply chain environment, required.
- You have proficiency in both English and Spanish, required.
- You have computer proficiency in MS Office products (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), required. Prior experience with Ceridian Dayforce is a plus.
- You possess broad HR knowledge with a working knowledge and understanding of HR principles, policies, processes, and technology.
- You have experience successfully leading, coaching, developing, and building a high-performing HR team of direct reports.
- You have demonstrated ability building and leveraging strong relationships while influencing, persuading, and inspiring diverse teams.
- You possess professional agility, the ability to deal with ambiguity, and adaptability in a fast-changing business environment.
- You have experience with managing medical leaves, interactive process meetings and return to work programs.
- You have the ability to develop and maintain a strong local talent pipeline and prepare succession planning for all positions.
- You can lead with respect, confidence, and managerial courage in challenging environments.
- You can partner with plant leadership to develop and execute long-term strategic plan and vision for the plant.
- You have demonstrated ability to build quantifiable metrics, while analyzing and interpreting data.
- You have the ability to manage complex employee relations & labor relations matters, including investigations, and ethics complaints.
- You have ability to drive growth and change and are willing to challenge the status quo with a positive attitude and influencing style.
- You have a commitment to continuous improvement, developing best practices, driving for results, and finding solutions.
- You can maintain a flexible schedule including the ability to work off-hours and/or weekends as needed.
