We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Compensation & Benefits Specialist in Augusta, Georgia. The professional in this role will be responsible for managing employee benefits and payroll in a bustling workplace. The Compensation & Benefits Specialist will play an integral part in our team, ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions such as benefits programs, payroll processing, and employee relations.

Responsibilities:
- Process weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Manage and update employee benefits programs, which include but are not limited to medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and ESOP.
- Maintain and update HR records and documentation, safeguarding the accuracy of employee data.
- Handle benefit enrollments and changes, ensuring compliance with self-insured benefit regulations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all benefits-related inquiries and provide necessary support.
- Identify and resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues promptly and efficiently.
- Encourage employee participation in benefits programs and promote a positive work environment.
- Provide support for all HR-related inquiries and issues, fostering strong employee relations.
- Assist in daily HR tasks and functions, contributing to the overall efficiency of the department.
- Analyze compensation structures to ensure they are competitive and meet company standards.
- Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Cisco Webex Meetings
- Familiarity with CRM, Auditing, Benefit Functions, Claim Administration, and Cobra Administration
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration and human resources software
- Knowledge of HRIS
- Human Resources Info Systems, ADP
- Payroll, Benefits Payroll, and Payroll
- Understanding of Compensation & Benefits, Compensation Administration, Benefits Analysis, and Benefits Administration
- Ability to assess compliance, and experience in Compliance, Compliance Assessments, and Compliance metrics
- Knowledge of HR Compliance is required.
- Must have experience in benefit payroll and benefits administration.
- Solid understanding of compensation administration.
- The ability to use human resources software is crucial.
- Experience in claim administration and Cobra administration.
- Proficiency in using Cisco Webex Meetings for communication.
- Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian is a must.
- The ability to assess compliance and knowledge of compliance metrics is required.
- Experience in HR Compliance is a must.
- Proficiency in using CRM is crucial.
- Experience in auditing and understanding of benefit functions is required.
- The ability to use HRIS - Human Resources Info Systems is crucial.
