Job Summary

To assist the press operator in setting up and operating printing presses

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

Follow press operators lead in tearing down jobs and setting up new jobs.

Ink management which includes washing up of inks in the printing press

Transporting ink pails from the ink room and solvents pails from the solvent area
Moving raw materials from staging areas onto the unwind of the printing press and removal of printed material from the rewind of the printing press
Removal of waste from print rolls and either disposing or recycling
Removal of cylinders and anilox rollers from press
Complete tasks in adequate time limits to meet press daily goals and schedule needs
Other housekeeping duties as assigned
Complete tasks in adequate time limits, as to meet press daily goal and schedule needs.
Complies with all general Company-wide standard operating procedures (SOP's) and any job or department-specific SOP's.
SOP's may cover the areas of (but are not limited to)
Employee Health and Safety
SQF (Safe Quality Food Packager) and GMP (good manufacturing procedures) focused on eliminating contaminates in all packaging manufactured.
SGP (Sustainable Green Printer) environmental regulatory procedures and SOP's

Must work within productivity standards and complete work in a timely manner.

Special Projects & other duties as necessary
