Responsible for product development from design to production across luxury fashion for all genders and ages

  • Manage daily communication with domestic and overseas vendors, ensuring luxury quality and timely delivery
  • Work independently, adapt quickly to changes, and meet calendar deadlines
  • Demonstrate strong expertise in garment construction, luxury materials, and the product creation process
  • Manage vendor profiles, relationships, and costing
  • Oversee style setup, costing, delivery expectations, and sample approvals
  • Prepare and maintain technical packages, including:
  • Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Country of Origin (COO)
  • Detailed construction illustrations (tech packs)
  • Ensure fit and design are consistent with AS by DF luxury guidelines
  • Collaborate closely with international offices to meet company goals and production timelines
  • Analyze and evaluate product samples, providing detailed feedback on technical aspects, quality, and construction to Product Development Manager and Creative Director
  • Provide clear vendor feedback after sample reviews, ensuring luxury standards are met
  • Maintain Work-in-Progress (WIP) charts and log communication with vendors to track prototype and sample progress
  • Ensure factory costs and product/material testing requirements are met by vendors
  • Organize and maintain product storage systems, including R&D samples, photoshoot samples, and sales samples
  • Experience in luxury fashion is essential
  • Strong understanding of apparel product creation, especially in leathers, wovens, knitwear, and accessories
  • In-depth knowledge of factory processes, techniques, and equipment with a luxury focus
  • Ability to lead a team with clear direction in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a high-stress environment
  • Strong communication skills, able to convey clear and objective feedback to internal teams and vendors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Adobe Illustrator required
  • Proficiency with Gerber or similar software is a plus

Required Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Development, Merchandising, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of apparel and/or cut-and-sew development, with at least 5 years in the luxury fashion industry
